July 2020: What's New in SA Monthly & Highlights

Every Month: A New "Theme"

In the July 2020 issue of SA Monthly we officially announce SA Monthly TV and a new "theme" for each new issue. In the July Issue we went with "Red, White, and Blue" because July is the month with celebrate Independence Day.

We scout out the best local talents. Last month we featured a chart-topping artist. This month...a Grammy winning production team and contributing editor to our music section, known as "Klubjumpers."

Earlier this year we introduced the "SA Monthly Book Club." This month, we feature author Johanna Sparrow. Her work can be found in Barnes & Noble, and everywhere books are sold. Be sure to read more about her inside her editorial in our "Arts" section.

Popular San Antonio model, Cindy Strensrud, has appeared in the magazine before modeling for "Spa Black." She works as a local model and influencer. Find out more about how to hire this local "Model of the Month" to help promote your brand through her agent and SA Monthly Fashion Editor: Lari Nelson Fashion Group.

Watch out for our "SA Woman" feature. During the San Antonio Fashion Week- SATX "Fashion Awards" Ceremony, we officially announced the "SA Monthly Woman of the Year." Inside find out more about why we selected Dawn Lafreeda for this prestigious honor in representing the community of San Antonio. She was recently featured in the "Wall Street Journal" for her thoughts on COVID-19 and the restaurant industry. You will not want to miss this interview! Now available in video interview form as well as we launch SA Monthly TV with our sponsor "Bonita Productions."

Beautiful photos of the cover and Dawn's editorial were provided by Bonita Productions and new staff member, Fernando Aguirre. Welcome Fernando to the Bonita Productions' team!

Welcome to A-List SA

As the Senior Editor of SA Monthly, I receive hundreds of requests to be featured. When someone is lucky enough to be featured, in an editorial or cover, I am normally left with very many "behind the scenes" shots or extras that don't make it into the magazine. For example: In this issue of SA Monthly our "Property of the Month" came with a video by Gerardo Pando (featured as our video editor earlier this year.) Pando Productions is an additional service for extra online advertising with the magazine. This is especially beneficial for realtors in the area who are selected for "Property of the Month" features. Inside the magazine spread we mentioned "additional video found online." This is an example of one of the newest and most effective ways to advertise with SA Monthly: VIDEO ON FACEBOOK & YOUTUBE https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=414879546074168&id=158587821424893 Besides a full editorial feature tha...
