Welcome to A-List SA

As the Senior Editor of SA Monthly, I receive hundreds of requests to be featured. When someone is lucky enough to be featured, in an editorial or cover, I am normally left with very many "behind the scenes" shots or extras that don't make it into the magazine.

For example:

In this issue of SA Monthly our "Property of the Month" came with a video by Gerardo Pando (featured as our video editor earlier this year.) Pando Productions is an additional service for extra online advertising with the magazine. This is especially beneficial for realtors in the area who are selected for "Property of the Month" features. Inside the magazine spread we mentioned "additional video found online."

This is an example of one of the newest and most effective ways to advertise with SA Monthly:

Besides a full editorial feature that reaches a wide audience all over San Antonio, a realtor can place an ad for the property and also create a full video-tour with any of the production teams that work with SA Monthly. After a property is featured in the magazine it will be listed here on "A-List SA." This blog features "extended features and VIP events."

Above is a portion of our "Property of the Month" Editorial inside of the magazine. Due to the limited space we did not list the realtor's additional property. On "A-List SA" we will be able to publish extended content linked to the magazine article for interested readers to delve further into other properties this realtor is showcasing at the moment.

Boxing in San Antonio Featuring Jesse James Leija

Boxing is one of the most popular combat sports in the world...and it can become your favorite workout routine. Unlike a normal workout at the gym, it teaches self-defense moves while helping burn calories at the same time. On top of that, it provides a full-body workout that can take off 3-4 pounds a workout (depending on the intensity level) which is much more than a regular gym workout. Boxing is a good way to keep toned while also keeping your mind engaged with moves that build your reflexes (sparring and the boxing bag will help with this.) The self-defense aspect of boxing helps build confidence, such as taking on a sport like karate. Learning how to defend against different attackers will help prepare you for any situation where you feel that you are under attack. Boxing will also make you stronger and more durable through medicine ball throwing, pull ups, push ups, and ab workouts. Another benefit of boxing is coordination. The nature of the sport forces you to become awar

FAQ: How to Become Socialite of the Year?

"Who is she?" Onlookers seem to wonder when she steps into a room. Her fashion sense is impeccable, or unusual, or there is just a certain something that no one can put their finger on...but it turns heads. The French call it "Je ne Sais Quoi" which literally translates to "I don't know what." This woman carries a quality that cannot be adequately described. In English this quality is called, "charisma." Each year S.A.Monthly looks out for this woman to announce our next Socialite of the Year. To be the next Socialite of the Year one has to be a community leader whose presence has made an impact. This person also has to have the attention of the whole community. Our Socialite of the Year Alumni have gone on to do great things, some ended up on television shows, or started a clothing line, or walked catwalks all over the world...who can you think of who deserves to be featured? Let us know! It is never too late to get noticed by SA Mo
