Hello San Antonio,

Many people are asking themselves what to prepare this Valentine's Day for their special someone. More and more people are choosing to prepare a special dinner at home to keep their Valentine's dinner inmate and special. Here is a "dinner and dessert" suggestion from Monika's International Cooking (featured in SA Monthly last summer.)  Please subscribe and help support local talent.



Monika & Luis make Spinach Gnocchi from Scratch:


Monika's International Cooking Show, will include cuisines from various countries around the world. Also, Monika will feature special quest repersenting the culinary delights of various regions. Be prepared for amazing dishes, and bring your taste buds. Ingredients: Gnocchi- 3-5 Russet Potatoes 1 Tsp Salt 2 1/2 Cups of Flour 1/2 Cup of Flour for Kneading dough (if needed) Sauce: 2 Tbsp Olive Oil 1 Onion 7 Slices of Ham 1 Clove of Garlic 1/2 bag of Spinach 1/2 Cup of White Wine 1/2Cup of Cream 1 cup of Milk 1/2 Tsp salt 1/2 Tsp pepper 4 Tbsp Of freshly grated parmesan cheese 2 Tbsp Parsley

German Strawberry Crumble Cake:

This cake is for anyone that loves strawberries or fruits in a cake. This is a typical German coffee cake. I love that this cake is not too sweet and is light. Strawberry Crumble Cake: Dough: 3/4 cup of sugar 2 eggs 10 Tbsp of butter 3/4 cup of grinded almonds 2.5 cups of unbleached flour 1 Ts of backing powder Mix dough and wrap in Cling Wrap and put in fridge for 30 min. 
Filling: 1 pound of strawberries Crumble: 1 cup of unbleached flour 1/2 cup of sugar 1 Tbsp of oats 1 Tbsp of grinded almonds 5 Tbsp of butter Mix it all together wrap it in Cling Wrap and put in frige for 15 min. Bake on 350 F for 40 min. or until top is golden brown. Music: Discover Musician: @iksonofficial
