SA Monthly Says "Goodbye" to Managing Fitness Editor Sherri Braxton:
Sherri Braxton started with SA Monthly three years ago, after being featured on our cover. She is the "high-energy" trainer and owner of popular all-women fitness gym "Sherri Fitness." In this time she has provided the magazine with many articles that helped San Antonio stay in shape. We wish her the best as she moves on to a woman-focused magazine that matches her personal and business platform. Her presence will be missed!
ARE YOU A LOCAL SINGER? BAND? MUSIC ARTIST? WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU!
Happy New Year! This was just one of the three themes of last issue. In the last issue of SA Monthly we scouted "Top Docs" making a difference in our community as San Antonio deals with COVID-19. On the cover, we featured the story of Dr. Erika Gonzalez, who was personally effected by the virus by the loss of her mother. We took you on her journey to becoming the doctor that she is today.
SA Monthly is always scouting people making difference, and in the coming issue, we are looking to people in the area of "music."
Did you notice some top superstars in our January issue? If you haven't here is a small recap of stars we have featured recently, including this last issue!

HIGHLIGHTS OF JANUARY 2021 ISSUE:
SPOTLIGHT ON LOCAL FASHION DURING COVID:
In the January 2021 issue we featured the 2020 Fashion Award Winners and their bios inside of the magazine. With the help of Crystal Clear Photography (also the media chairperson for The Texas Fashion Industry Initiative) we helped promote this non-profit that seeks to develop the fashion community of San Antonio. COVID prevented this organization from making their annual grand event. Each year, founder Burgundy Woods has produced a wonderful display of fashion shows and an award ceremony to recognize people in the fashion community. SA Monthly decided to do something in return by letting San Antonio discover the new award winners inside of our pages!
Speaking of fashion, radio host Jacqueline Jax is wearing a designer hat from "Christys' London" in her photo inside the music section.
At Christys' London, craft is key. Since its founding in 1773, Miller Christys' passion for impeccable quality and skilled craftsmanship has passed through generations of hat makers. safeguarding Christys ' red and gold insignia as a symbol synonymous with fine traditionally crafted hats. Christys was and is a brand with an eye on the future and, while methods have remained largely unchanged and heritage is paramount, it is the capacity to transcend trends and social borders that makes Christys' hats as sought after as ever.

The answer is inside this issue of SA Monthly Magazine. We had a special "Christmas gift" to give our winners made by local bakery Kitchen to K9. We took our winners to a life-sized train and presented them with custom-made dog treats as we took photos for this special editorial that shows these treats can be made for any special occasion!
